How to Use End Times in Your GPass Campaigns

Last Updated on October 30, 2025

Setting an end time for your GPass campaigns gives you precise control over when your emails stop going out each day โ€” and when they resume.

This feature is particularly useful when you're spreading a campaign across multiple days and want to ensure emails only go out during business hours or specific time windows.

What is an End Time?

An end time is the time of day when GPass will automatically pause your campaign. Once the end time is reached, GPass stops sending emails for that day and resumes on the next allowable sending day.

Example: If you set an end time of 5:00 PM, GPass will stop sending emails at 5:00 PM each day. Sending will automatically resume the next business day (or the next day based on your schedule settings).

Why Use End Times?

End times are valuable in several scenarios:

Important: End time is based on your account's time zone. Make sure your time zone is set correctly in your GPass settings.

Best Practices for End Times

1. Align with Business Hours

Set your end time to match when your business closes or when you expect recipients to stop checking email. Common end times are 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM.

2. Consider Time Zones

If your recipients are in different time zones, choose an end time that's reasonable for the majority of your audience, or segment your campaigns by region.

3. Leave Buffer Time

Don't set your end time at the exact last minute. Give yourself a buffer (e.g., end at 4:30 PM instead of 5:00 PM) to ensure all scheduled emails complete.

4. Combine with Speed Settings

Use end times together with send rate limits to create a controlled, professional sending schedule. For example: "Send 100 emails per day between 9 AM and 5 PM."

Example Use Cases

Use Case 1: B2B Cold Email Campaign

Scenario: You're sending 500 cold emails to business professionals.
Settings:

Result: GPass sends 100 emails per day during business hours only, completing the campaign in 5 business days.

Use Case 2: Event Reminder Campaign

Scenario: Sending event reminders with follow-ups.
Settings:

Result: Initial emails go out in the morning. Follow-ups also respect the 8:00 PM end time, ensuring no late-night emails.
